The film strip is the progress bar, and the total keeps its tilde while it is still an estimate. Click or press Esc to end the capture where you are. Behind the strip sits a verdict. A capture earns verified complete (AX-corroborated), in exactly those words in the support log, only when every seam it delivered proved itself in the pixels, the ledger accounted for every row, and the page's own accessibility account corroborated the seams and the end. Anything less is said plainly: best effort, or partial in the file's own name with an alert saying why, or an alert and no file when stitching failed outright. Chromium and Electron windows, whose scrollbars expose nothing to read, can be followed through the document's own geometry when it is available.

CAPTURE

Capture is a reticle.

Area, window, or full screen, with crosshair guides, a 1px selection edge, and a live W, H, X, Y readout in points. Twelve actions in all, including the active window, a repeat of your last area, a three second delay, and opening an image Gamendori did not take. Every one of them can take a hotkey.

FINDINGS

One local scan, six kinds of finding.

A capture is saved and copied the moment you take it, and the scan follows on this Mac. Findings are what you act on before the file goes to anyone else. The scan helps you catch sensitive content, it does not guarantee it, and a burst of captures can outrun the queue: a dropped scan simply does not run, and unless you still have that capture open nothing tells you so. Findings do not apply themselves either. Accept them one at a time, or redact all.

REDACTION

Redaction destroys pixels, or the export refuses.

A redaction is an opaque plate with an etched hatch. Deliberately un-pretty, and nothing of the source survives underneath it in the file you export. Exporting flattens a copy rather than baking your document, so the redaction stays liftable from the findings panel or by undo, though it is never dragged or resized. Starting an export does commit a text or crop you had in progress, and that part stands even if you then cancel. If Gamendori cannot prove a redaction covers its whole region in whole device pixels, it refuses to write the file rather than give you a half-redacted image. The scan can miss things, so redact is also a rail tool: drag a block over anything it did. Blur is not redaction, so there is no blur tool.

Anchor a point and the distance follows your cursor, sample a color as hex, and count pixels on a square loupe with a hard grid. Enter copies the values as text. Measure mode produces measurements, not files.

TEXT

Copy text off the screen.

Select a region and the recognized text lands on your clipboard. Recognition runs here through Apple's Vision framework and detects the language itself. No image is sent anywhere to be turned into text.
